Service Description

One hour and a half of very intense shoot Around 40 photos from the shoot with Ai retouching Five fully retouched photos This package is designed for actors who want more than just a good portrait. We’re not photographing your smile and face, we’re exploring character, emotion, and the roles you could potentially play on screen. During the shoot, we move through different emotional states and cinematic situations: anger, fear, despair, laughter, happiness, the pure joy of a five-year-old child, or the panic of a mother whose child hasn’t answered the phone for five hours. The session lasts around 1.5 hours and works almost like a series of small acting exercises. I’ll guide you with short improvised scripts, usually lasting one or two minutes. You won’t need to “perform” in a theatrical way, often it’s just a look, tension in the body, or a shift in expression. The goal is to capture something truthful and alive. These sessions often become more than just portfolio updates. One actor I worked with once told me that at his age he was mostly being cast as “the father of the main character.” But as we moved through different emotions and personalities during the session, it became obvious that he could absolutely carry a leading role. Sometimes the right image changes how people imagine you on screen. In today’s fast-moving industry, timing matters. The right photo landing on the right casting director’s desk at the right moment can open unexpected doors. I can’t give you a role, and I can’t promise connections to casting directors. But if the role is truly yours, these photographs will help people see it too. Shoot Details We usually create several different looks during the session. Clothing changes are absolutely encouraged, as they help shift the character and energy of the images. Since we often shoot on location, outfit changes typically happen in the car between setups, so we recommend bringing clothes that are easy to change into quickly. Preparation & Setup Before the shoot, we’re happy to discuss references, character types, wardrobe ideas, and the overall direction of the session. Neutral clothing without large logos or distracting patterns usually works best, but different looks and textures are always welcome if they help support specific character ideas. Travel & Parking A travel fee applies for locations more than 30 minutes’ drive from Melbourne city center. We kindly ask that any parking fees be covered by the client.
